It is easy to evaluate yeast cell physiological state


Well growing yeast cells show a uniform intense staining with redprot®.

Damaged yeast cultures exhibit a notable ratio of cells, not stained in the cytoplasma.

Yeast cells are not necessarily effected by bacteria, e.g. Lactobacillus.

Staining the protein load of pollen

The pollen collected in 2004 with a Hist-type trap at Münster Medical University, Germany, were stained with redprot® according the standard procedure. Grass pollen were rated in three classes of colour intensity by eye inspection:
